On 8 November I had the incredible opportunity to cover Cate Blanchett’s speech at the European Parliament in Brussels on assignment for Associated Press.
“In the words of the poet Warsan Shire, no one leaves home unless home is the mouth of a shark. You have to understand that no one puts their children in a boat unless water is safer than the land,” Cate Blanchett said at the European Union Parliament in Brussels.
The two-time Oscar winner spoke at the European Parliament on Wednesday, November 08, 2023, as UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador on the invitation of the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
I covered this event assigned by the Associated Press and have been fortunate enough to have started collaborating with them a month ago. It has always been a dream of mine since I started my career, to publish in an agency like AP where some of the greatest have worked and continue to work.
